Healthcare in kodiak

Check out the different options for healthcare here on the island. There is Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) and Kodiak Community Health Center (KCHC) where dependents receive medical care with PCMs. 

There is also Kodiak Island Medical Center (Providence) for emergency services, labor and delivery, and more. 

KCHC has a speciality clinic which offers different services and many of the primary care providers on the island at both at KCHC and KANA are trained to manage a variety of specialities. 

If you need specialist care, your PCM will send a referral to a specialist in Anchorage. Your active duty member will then work with the Rockmore Clinic on base to obtain a Travel to Obtain Healthcare (TTOHC) in order to get TRICARE to assist with getting to Anchorage via plane - whether commercial or Space Available. This also includes assistance with lodging, food and rental cars if applicable. Please reach out to your ombudsman for more information.
